Hi!
I am looking for a BMU for a product I'm working on. I quickly looked at what TI has to offer, and something like BQ40Z60 is what we could need.
I went through the documentation I found, but I wasn't really sure exactly what sort of resources TI provides for programming these. Do you have a SDK or other development tools for programming your fuel gauges, or do I have to program the amplifier with manipulating registers using the data sheet through a micro controller, or is it possible to use some sort of C/C++ API or other ways for more straightforward developer experience?
I glanced at the BQ40Z60 reference manual and it makes references to some sort of commands ("Actions"), but I didn't find any reference manual for this API? How are you supposed to use these actions?
I saw you had some sort of software for streamlining the development ( Battery Management Studio), but I don't currently own your products so I can't test it properly. I was looking at user guide SLUUB71 and it looks like it is an interface for programming the BMU registers?
Do you have any other application notes or user guides that could explain the development flow of your fuel gauges?
Cheers!
