Hi sir,

My customer currently use TPS2553 now. But have some question need you help.

1. Occur TPS2553 fault into latch When hot plug, but change to MIC2039 can fix this problem, why?
2. May I know large transient current why need high value capacitor?
ex. 1A need value capacitor? 2A need value capacitor?

Do you have any waveform comparison that you can provide. Please let us know if the test conditions are identical too (same circuit but just different load switch IC?). Need to know Cin, Cout, Rload, load switch current limit.

Hi sir,

From TPS2553 change to MIC2039 on same PCB and fail issue can fix.
I will upload TPS2553 circuit, test condition and waveform.

Does the MIC2039 device you are using have the "Kickstart" feature (see the MIC2039 datasheet). This might explain the different behavior (TPS2553 has flat current response).
