Hi team,

We currently have the CSD87312Q3E in our design and are interested to see if we have a part that has lower Rds(on) with similar functionality. I came across to the CSD85312Q3E. Could you elaborate on the differences between the two parts?

Also if you have suggestions for other parts that may be a fit, please let me know.

The biggest difference between these two parts is the CSD85312Q3E is only 20V BVDSS (which is why it is so much lower Rdson) where as the CSD87312Q3E is 30V rated.

So the real question is do you required 30V or 20V. If only 20V, then the CSD85312Q3E will likely perform better thermally.

What is your application that requires back to back FETs? We also have smaller options - how much current do you need to carry and are you space constrained?

Thanks for the quick reply! I think 20V would be okay in our design. We are interested in using this as the N-FET driver for the BQ24780S www.ti.com/.../bq24780s.pdf

If you only need 20V, the CSD85312Q3E is probably ideal.

I would recommend reaching out to Kevin O'Connell, the PME for these devices for more information.

Can you also expand on the differences on the Qg and Qgd parameters and how that would make a difference here?
