TPS562200 Is 6.7-6.8V OUT too much to ask?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS562200

Hi,

I am looking for a buck regulator for my Arduino shield design.  The TPS562200 has an absolute maximum of 7V OUT, and I would like to get as close as possible to that without compromising  the chip.  The inductor selection guide of the data sheet goes as high as 6.5V, is that suggesting in reality that 6.5V is as high as it can be safely configured?  Would 6.7-6.8V be safe long term?

Would it be possible to put a diode between  SW and VBST to drop the boost voltage to a lower value, and configure it for 7V?

Cheers

Matt.
