Hello all,

I have a question about GPIO3 again.

Figure 2. Connection Diagram for TPS65218 and AM437x in Powering the AM335x/AM437x with TPS65218 showed

GPIo3 is floating. GPIO3 is DCDC1 and DCDC2 reset input signal as default.

Why is it loating? Should it need a pull-up resister or pull-down resister?

How are you planning on using it? Input, output, or unused?

Paul,

Our cutomer don't use GPIO3 and is using GPIO3 as Input(default).
GPIO3 of TPS65218 EVM is connected to VIO via 100kohm.
But your answer about GPIO is to be connected to IN_BIAS as following.
Which is righ solution, VIO or IN_BIAS?

Iwasaki-san,

If the customer is not using GPIO3, they can either pull up (100kohm) or tie (short) GPIO3 to IN_BIAS. Either works. If they do not want to use an extra resistor then they can tie (short) GPIO3 to IN_BIAS. Let me know if there are any questions. Thanks!

Is "pull up (100kohm)" connected to VIO? Or IN_BAIS?
