Would there be any issues with the LM5576 when there is no Vin and the Vout is powered by another source? Such as during a test mode.

It is not a good idea have a voltage present on the output with no voltage on the input. The body diode of the top-side NMOS will be forward biased and any current flow through this diode has the potential for damage.

I couldn't find any specs of the body diode in the data sheet, hence the question.
Is there any guidance on what to hold the current under to preempt any damage?

I would limit the current to 100mA or less. However, this number is only a "rule-of-thumb" and we can not guarantee that any reverse current will be "safe"
