Hi TI Experts:

I have a customer that would like to use Buck DCDC, TPS62770.

It have 1 stepdown and 1 stepup output.

The Buck DCDC do have an extreme low Iq but they only need the stepdown output.

According to the datasheet, the stepup DcDC will turn off if the Enable pin is in low condition.

But it did not mention the current consumption of the DCDC if it’s the Stepup DCDC is in off stage.

If the stepup portion is disable, did it still draw current?

If you just need a low Iq stepdown, please see the TPS62743/6/8.

The shutdown current (EN = low) is listed on page 5 of the D/S. It is very low.

Hi Chris,

Thanks for the info.

In this case, can i just use the step down side and disable the step up side since i only need the step up.

So, i only need to pull EN2 low right?

Will the step up side still functioning or the whole IC will shut down?

There are two EN pins, so either the buck or boost can be turned off.
