Alfredo,
Using the TI.com competitor cross-ref search, it list the following alternatives to ISL2111:
This shows that the UCC2711 is not actually a direct cross - it's listed as "same functionality & pinout, but not an exact equivalent".
A direct cross part for ISL2111ABZ would UCC27201DR.
I will review the UCC27211 to see why it's not listed as a direct cross, and see what's different, and get back to you.
Thanks,
Bernard
Alfred,
Like Bernard mentioned, I am not sure why UCC27211 is not shown by the tool as a direct replacement for the ISL2111. In short, yes, this is a good replacement part. The UCC27211 offers negative voltage robustness at the input pins vs. the UCC27201, as well as a stronger date drive current capability of 4A for better system efficiency. The quiescent current is also much lower with the UCC27211.
The additional negation on the Intersil part's datasheet block diagram is not of concern. This simply indicates that the UVLO logic is internally interpreted with opposite logic, but the external functionality is the same.
I hope this addresses your concerns.
Regards,
- Daniel
