Please let me know about Cin and Cout spec of TPS25200 below;

①About Cin (Datasheet recommended 0.1μF)

 Is there the case of necessary to large capacitance?

 ②About Cout (Datasheet recommended page15-figure17)

 Is Cout not depend on Output current?

 Foe example, are 3.3V / 600mA (peak 1.0A) and 5V / 200mA (peak 250mA) same Cout OK?

Best regards,

Satoshi

  • For #1, the 0.1uF is a minimum value to protect from noise. Usually, the application will use 10-22uF to help with load transients. For #2, this figure is most likely independent of output loading. A simulation or further bench testing is most likely required to include the effects of loading and DC voltage variation.
