BQ24172 LED Charge Status

 Dear Sir,

I have encountered the issue of charger indicator. When we charge the battery (3S2P) till the charger battery full,  the charger LED indicator keeps on (Charge in progress ) but as long as we remove the adapter than plug-in again the LED indicator off(Charge complete).

I don't know how to figure out this issue. May you give me some suggestion?Thanks.

    Lucifer, 

    You may be in the CV mode of the charge profile. In this mode, the battery voltage will be the regulation voltage, (12.6V for three 4.2V cells in series). However, it will still be charging and gaining capacity as the current drops to the termination current (10% of Icharge usually). Only once the termination is complete will the LED turn off and STAT go high.

    It is also possible you have termination disabled. In that case the LED would remain on. Do you have TTC tied to either Vref or Ground? 

    If the battery is above Vrechg, resetting the adapter will make the charger think it is fully charged because it is above Vrechg. It will not be at full capacity, though

    Dear Sir,

    I tied TTC to Ground.

    currently, I found the battery is full (100%)  which charges over 8hours. but the indicated LED keep blinking. 

    is this a timer fault issue? why the battery charging can't be completed ? Thanks,
