Hi Sir,

May I know TPS73501 internal N-FET Rdson ?  since my customer test inrush current and measurement inrush current result show 1.2A.

Why TPS73501 can work but not damage.

    Hi Kuo,

    TPS735 internal FET RDSon calculated based on VDO max = 500mV and Iout = 500mA. This gives a worst case RDSon = 1 Ohm. You can also reference the graph (typical values) below:

    The TPS73501 is not damaged because it has  a current limiting protection feature. The inrush current is limited while the output capacitors are charging when it reaches the ILIM value (1.17V typical). This value is in the range the customer is seeing in their test.
