bq25890 - VINDPM_OS

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ25890

Hi all

Would you mind if we ask bq25890?

The datasheet on P39 shows as follows;
-When VBUS at noLoad is ≤ 6V, the VINDPM_OS is used to calculate VINDPM threhold.
-When VBUS at noLoad is > 6V, the VINDPM_OS multiple by 2 is used to calculate VINDPM threshold.

Does VINDPM_OS multiple by 2 mean that VINDPM_OS*2=VINDPM threshold??
Could you let us know the difference between VINDPM and VINDPM_OS?

Kind regards,

Hirotaka Matsumoto

  • Hello Matsumoto-san,

    VINDPM_OS is the user selectable input voltage limit offset in REG01{4:0}. By default at startup, the bq25890 family automatically sets the VINDPM threshold to VBUS - VINDPM_OS if VBUS<=6V or VBUS-2xVINDPM_OS if VBUS>6.

    Please let me know if you have further questions.
