Hello,

I2C communication between bq25890evm with mbed lpc1768 micro controller IS not getting established.

3.3k,10k pull up resistor both were considered. Current problem is not getting I2C acknowledge from bq25890evm when sending Bq25890 address.

Can you please tell any additional things to be carried?

Hey p karunakar,

How are you powering the device? Can you take a waveform of the VSYS, VBUS, and ISYS? Do you have a load connected to VSYS as well?

Device powered by USB input ,Load is not connected to VSYS

Charging battery through control parameters such as Field or default view there are no problems ,but when tried with Advance communication also it was not successful.Please check in below image.

Not able to read value from register when BQ25890 address and register address when provided.

Whether Any other configuration setting is required?

Hey p karunakar,

Use address D4 as the address. This is because the slave address is 6A, but when addressing, you include the R/W bit, which changes the address a bit.

I'm not certain, but I do not think the Battery Management studio adds the R/W when you press the command Read or Write commands as it addresses via I2C.
