LM5107 HO output Gate Driver internal structure

I have an external 3A 200V Schottky rectifier in parallel with the internal rectifier show within block diagram on page 1 of datasheet. If my external schottky rectifier shorts, what is the impedance and structure of this output gate driver?

  • Hi Richard,

Scrolling through our E2E posts I noticed that this post was not answered, our apologies!

The shorted external rectifier will carry almost all the current and you will have VDD = VHB.

If the external diode shorts, the bootstrap resistor should be sized to handle the inrush current.

    Regards,
