We used TI BQ24295 charger in the product and it used an AC adapter for battery charging.
1) The USB D+/D- pins of AC adapter are shorted and connected to GROUND.
2) After we tested, the BQ24295 detected this AC adapter as USB host (in REG08[7:6]).
2-1) And BQ24295 sets the Input Current Limit to SDP (500 mA).
3) Is it possible to force BQ24295 to recognize/detect the AC adapter as “Adapter port”?
3-1) If the answer is “NOT”, could we force the “Fast Charge Current Limit”,
“Input Voltage Limit”, and “Input Current Limit” to 5V/2A
even if BQ24295 recognized the AC adapter as an USB Host?
3-1-1) Are there any side-effect if we force the 3 setting to BQ24295 in 3-1) ?
Thank you.
