Could you tell me about bq24610 short circuit on the system side .

    The bq24610 does not specifically have short circuit protection on the system side.

    A system short will likely cause the input current to be regulated, and the battery FET will likely turn on to supplement the short circuit current. If the battery FET turns on, the charger IC may detect a battery short and turn off the converter.

    The IC may become damaged, but it is set up to try and protect the system. For safety sake, adding external protection is not a bad idea if it is a concern.
