TPS51220A/about EN pin

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS51220A

Hi,

Could you tell me about TPS51220A EN pin?
Please tell me the current value required by the EN pin.
Customers want to know that to suppress the dark current.

Best regards,
Yusuke/Japan Disty

  • Hi Yusuke-san,

I dont fully understand about the "suppress the dark current" you said.

Follow the datasheet, it should be very tiny current for EN pin.

    Regards

    Yuchang

  • Yuchang-san,

    Thank you for your response.
I am sorry I didn't explain it clearly enough.
"suppress the dark current" means standby current consumption.
Customers want to reduce the standby current by adjusting the dividing resistor.

    For the above reasons,
Customer wants to know the current to be passed to the EN.
    Alternatively,
Please tell me the upper limit of dividing resistor.

    Best regards,

    Yusuke/Japan Disty

  • Yusuke-san,

As last reply, the EN pin leak current is very small, sink/source current limit is +/- 1uA, so i think there is no power loss affection even no pull-high resistor.

and If the resistor is a must, I suggest not above 100K.
