Hi Team,
One of my customers is looking for a bidirectional buck-boost solution for their PSU design. Below is a flow chart of what they want to achieve:
The bucl-boost will mainly be used as a source to charge the battery and also as a converter when the battery is activated and main line is off. Here are their required specs:
Battery Discharge Mode - Bus Regulator:
Input Voltage: 18V to 33V (Coming from battery)
Input Current: 32A max (peak loading and ocp not included)
Output Voltage: 24.3V +/- 0.2V (To DCDC bus)
Output Current: 16A nom and 27A peak loading
Battery Charger Mode:
Input Voltage: 25V nom (21.6V to 26.4V operational coming from ACDC)
Output Voltage: 20V to 31V depending on target voltage of the battery
Output Current: programmable output current limit from 0.5A to 8A
Charger operation: Constant Current and Constant Voltage Mode
They were looking at our LM5175 but wanted clarification if it is capable of doing their requirements.
Please do let me know.
Thanks!
Best Regards,
Alfred
