LM5116

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM5116

Hi to all,

LM5116 has got a current limiting protection when Iout is more than the threshold setted by Rsense .

This protection works in "hiccup" mode and it depends of UVLO voltage divider, soft start capacitor and Cft capacitor.

If I don't want to limit the dissipation during short circuit condition, Can I replace Cft with a small capacitor, instead of 1uF like as suggest by datasheet ?

My problem is when the battery is low and it suchs much current : LM5116 works in "hiccup" mode and with Cft=1uF the average current is very low to charge the battery.

Can I disable this feature, in order to supply continuously the maximum current during short circuit condition ?

Thanks in advance
