TPS62006 info about components

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC1310, TPS62006, TPS2111A

Hi,

I'm and Master Electronic Eengineer student at Politecnico di Torino, I'm designing a pcb board involving TI CC1310 ic for IoT smart monitoring aims.

I need to use the TPS62006 (High-Efficiency Step-Down Low Power DC-DC Converter), the one with 2,5V fixed output, to supply the TI CC1310.

I use the TPS62006 after a TPS2111A (AUTOSWITCHING POWER MUX) to select input supply from two power supply (Principal and backup power supply).

I saw in the datasheet of TPS62006  (pag 17, section 9.3.2) that at output pin (pin 9) you suggest an inductor of 10uH (you suggest the Sumdia CDRH5D28-100) that can tollerate 1,3A.

I need a suggestion and/or a confirmation about the choice of the inductance at pin 9. Is suitable to use an inductor  that support a smaller maximum DC Current, for example 900 mA (like the Taiyo Yuden CBC3225T100MR).

Thank you very much for the help

Best regards
