TPS797xx N/C Pin

Hello,

We are trying to kludge in the TPS797xx onto an existing layout. The device would be more mechanically stable if we soldered the N/C pin (3) to the adjacent GND pin (2).

Can we do this?

Hi Don,

Normally NC means that the pin is physically not connected to the Silicon. But given this is an older device, my concern is that it may be a test pin. We will have to confirm with the the design team.

Hi Don,

Pin3 on TPS797 is not internally connected. This pin can be tied to GND.
