    Hello Peter,

    If you are evaluating the bq40z60 with the EVM there are couple things you will need to program it:

    • The latest version of bqStudio available on ti.com.
    • An EV2400 to connect the EVM to your computer and communicate with it via SMBus and change the data flash parameters.
    • For the details on the registers and features of the bq40z60, please refer to the technical reference manual and the datasheet, which include details on programming the device as well.
    • The EVM user's guide also provide more details on how to set up the EVM and program the device.

    Thanks for the information.

    I reviewed the "Technical Reference Manual" for the BQ40Z60 device, but could not find any information on Data Flash detail below.

    1.     Data Flash map Area.
    2.      Data Flash Size.
    3.      Programming flowchart(How to Control register.

    Hello Peter,

    Please review chapter 12 of the TRM (page 148) for Data Flash Information of the bq40z60. Also, this app note will provide guidance of programming the device. This app note is for the bq40z50, but the concepts also apply for the data flash portion of the bq40z60.
