I'm currently designing a battery management and charging system for 8 Panasonic 18650pf cells I'm planning on using the bq76930 with the bq78350-r1 and the bq76200 or my second option is using the bq76930 with the msp430 so I don't have to use the evm2300 which system would be recommended and how involved is the programming of the msp430.

Secondly what charging IC circuit would be recommended as my search has so far been unsuccessful as I understand the bq76930 only balances and monitors the cells if does control cc-cv am I correct?

The end application is for an electric pedal assist bike

    I would recommend to use BQ76930 and Bq78350-r1 instead using bq76930 with msp430 because the bq78350-r1 has CEDV (Compensated End discharge Voltage) algorithm based functioning which enhances the BMS overall performance and one more thing is bq78530-r1 also support CC-CV charging capability,I hope this helps.
