Short circuit in TPS27082

Hi.

We work on a product which uses TPS27082 switches, we have seven of them on each board and we have four prototype boards and we have seen that some of them fail with a short circuit between Vin and Vout. We have seen the problem on five TPS27082, and it has been on different boards and different placements, so it's not related to a single placement or board.

We have 3.45Vin and control the ON/OFF pin with 3.3V.

What can be the problem?

    Hello,

    Is it possible that you could share more details about your application setup? Possibly an abbreviated schematic that shows the switch and how it is connected?

    There is no problem with 3.45 input voltage and 3.3V ON/OFF. What is the load? What are the load currents?

    Can you tell if the problem is happening when the board is powered? Is it happening during operation? Any additional details you may be able to provide would also be helpful.
