Hi,

 Can TPS7A84 operate the current sharing?

 Customer wants 6A LDO.

    HI Shimizu-san,

    We tested the below schematic with pretty good lab results :

    I thought the team was putting an application note on the concept, but I could not find it online. As you can see the concept is scalable so whould work well with two TPS7A84's.


    Please note:

    1. This was using 4 TPS7A85's to share up to 16A of current

    2. This is a concept that has only be lab tested.I do not believe that there has been a detailed tolerance analysis review to guarantee validity over high volume production. (this may be the reason the application note has not been released yet).
