TPS63001 loading issues

Hi,

I have powered the board first time and I have got required voltage. then onwards TPS63001 is draws more current is about 1.4A from source without any load.

Please find the schematic below

The schematic of the power stage looks fine for me, for what load did you design this circuit?

I would like to understand the ground connections and the capacitor placement, can you provide each layer separately in pdf  format with the silk screen, or you can also send me the .brd file (also by private message if you don't want to share it publicly)

It looks like the IC is damaged.  

Is it possible in the application the VIN voltage is exceeding the 7V absolute max rating?  Maybe some hot plugging is causing such overvoltage?

Can you measure Vout when the before the IC gets damaged and check if you see  a high voltage (>8V) for a long time (>100ns) on Vout?

The circuit is designed for BLE and MCU circuit.

I like to know, Is that minimum load has to be given on the TPS63001. If it so, what is the minimum load we have to give.

the circuit is powered by 3.6V battery. For testing I have connected DC supply and I have applied 3v on the input.

All the component are placed in the bottom layer. find the placement file below

Hi,

I have connected the 3.7V battery and probed input and output. I am getting 5.6V peak at output voltage. Please find the image below. yellow color is input. blue is output

The peak interval is around 1.5ms. Why this kind of behavior is happening.

Failure cause. I did not connect any load. Only load switch was there and disable by default.

this experiment TPS63001 output  has BLE and load switch. buy default load switch is disabled. Only BLE module is powered.

Is it output capacitor is not sufficient?

I will Isolate the BLE power and measure the voltage.
