TPS61181A with 3~6 LEDS Series design

Hi,

May I know how can implement TPS61181A EVM with WLEDEVM-260 for 3~6 LEDs Series function verify as using Fig.22?

Now the EVM can't workable with the below schematic.

Please kindly provide your suggestion for our verify again.

Hi Eric.

EVM should be modified to support Fig22(Separte Vbat).

Please refer the below to simply implement EVM like Fig22 and turns on 6WLED using WLEDEVM-260.

- Remove Q1, D1, R3 and R2 of EVM

- Install 0 ohm at R11 of EVM

- if you want to use only 6WLEDs on each channel of WLEDEVM-260, remove LED7,8,9 and 10 of each string and connect TP7 to IFBx(J1/3/5/7..)

- Connect EN(J3) to J1.

- Supply 5V to Vbat pin(note that it's not J1 but the pin of the removed R2 connected to TPS61181A Pin3 Vbat)

- Supply 2.7V to J1

Then may I know where is TP7 because need to connect to IFBx?

Hi Daniel,
If need 12V input, EN pin should be connect to 5V with the same VBAT voltage, right?

Please refer the datasheet regarding EN pin Min/Max Voltage and logic high/low voltage.

Hi Daniel,

I use your suggestion method to modify TPS61181A EVM but can't work at 12V input & 3.3V EN pin.

Would you kindly help to confirm again?

Hi Daniel,

Sorry, it should be J1 & J3 12V input and VBAT(pin3) is 5V then can't enable 6pcs LED.

Would you kindly help to confirm again?
