TLC5947: TLC5947 or similar part, can be used for general purpose PWM generator?

Hi LED driver team,

I have a customer who wants to provide up to 24 individually controlled voltage PWM channels (no current sinking needed, really) to the inputs of a bunch of H-Bridge driver parts (like the LMD18200 or DRV8844, etc). They need to PWM at 1kHz. Their MCU of choice just doesnt have enough PWM output channels. 

Will the TLC59xx family work for this? Do you guys have any suggestions for something that is a better fit? Again, current sinking isn't really needed, just a bunch of pure PWMs.
