Hi, All
In the in circuit test, we test try to check if each pin of bq40z50 is mounted to pcb well. There is detail data for each pin in the datasheet.
Will TI give any proposal for this?

Hi J.C,
Is there an issue with the detailed pin information in the datasheet? We provided the information so our customer can use it to create their own test plan based on their PCB/application.
Do you have a specific question or concern you need us to assist you with? Be sure not to exceed the recommended or ABS max conditions stated in the datasheet.
Hi, Damian
No issue, but big concern.
For example,
1) How to check that the pin 25 (Fuse) is connected to R17 well? I want make sure the pin is mounted well during SMT. We have no plan to test during pack assembly. If not mounted well, it's a big risk.
Another, is there a diodes inside the IC body? Do i need add a diode outside?

Hi JC,
The fuse pin should be pulled low unless the fuse is blown can be verified by probing both pins of R17 and by the bq40z50-R1. The gauge also checks whether the fuse is blown and will set the PFStatus()[FUSE] flag.
Where are you considering adding diodes? Please flow the reference circuit provided in the EVM Users guide.
Hi JC,
No diode is needed. In fact it's not recommended to use diode for the VCC pin.
