TPS54331: Fall of TPS54331

Part Number: TPS54331

Hi,

When turning off the input power supply, the falling edge of the input power supply (+ 5.2 V) of the TPS 54331 is slow, so the falling edge of the output voltage (+ 3.3 V) jumps several times.
Since EN is not used, this situation occurs near the threshold of UVLO.

Is there a possibility that TPS 54331 will be broken by this jump?
Does it affect the lifetime of the device?

Best regards,

  • Hello,

From your waveform, it is just turn-on-off serveral times as you said, no higher-voltage and higher current into the chip, so it should not affect the life-time.

Maybe you can consider to tie EN pin with resistor devider to Vin to try to get controlled.
