I have problem when debuging TPS54240.My schematic is alike with Figure 65 in specification,.and Vin is 24V,Vout is 5V,Iout is about 15mA,there are no C8、C6、R3，R1=150K、R4=20K、R5=140K、C7=0.01uF、I am sure the device is in Eco-mode.Now I have 20 boards only soldered TPS54240,at the time Iout is 15mA,but when the boards are in continuing 15mA between 0.5h-3h,about 5 boards had no Vout.
I had do lots of work eliminating external interference,for example re-soldering、clearing dross,and I confirm that all components are same between 20 boards,so I consider the problem is the margin of circuit when the device is in Eco-mode,or if some else question I did not know about Eco-mode.
Another important note,these 5 board are in good and bad,not always had no output.For example, powerd up again,the board is good, but after a while,the board is gone bad again.
