BQ24072: Input DPM Mode current

Part Number: BQ24072

Hello,

I want to know the reduced current limit value in USB100 mode when Vin falls to Vin-DPM.

In the datasheet page 18, I can found the value in USB500 mode(400mA),  but the value in USB100 mode could not be found.

And if possible, please let us know it with min/typ/max values.

Thanks,

Hiro

  • Hi  Hiroshi,

The 400mA current limit was for the input power supply - this forced the charger to go into it's DPM loop, because the power supply starts to crash once you draw more than 400mA.

The input  current limit remains the  same, but charge current will be reduced as-needed to  maintain the  system current.

  • Hello David-san,

    Thank you for your comment.

I understand that the input current limit does not change.
If IOUT(system current) is increased and Vin goes down to VIN-DPM,
then IOUTis still same and IBAT will be decreased.

    Thanks and best regards,
    Hiro
