Hi there,

We are facing the problem to pick a battery charge IC to fulfill the following function:

2 serial 4.2V Li-ion batteries need to be charged in balance. The charging power supply comes from usb vcc. Is there any chip family can support this demand?

    Hi Baohu,

    Sorry for the delay.

    Currently there are no boost chargers in our portfolio as I assume you want to charge from 5V USB input source to an output of 6V-8.4V battery.

    You can, however, use the bq24650 and modify it to a boost charger by following this app note  .
