TPS54240: To use CCM mode at output current = 0A to 1.5A

Hi Team,

Our customer would like to use CCM mode at output current = 0A to 1.5A.

Because, they would like to reduce the ringing noise of switching waveform in the light load(DCM and Eco mode(PSM-mode)).

Could you please let us know if you have the calculating formula of boundary current of Eco-mode?

We understand that we can use CCM mode at all load conditions if we increase inductor value.

And, we guess that the inductor value which is higher than several hundred is necessary.

Therefore, we need the calculating formula of boundary current of Eco-mode.

Is my understanding correct?

If no, could you please let us know if you have any concern and other recommended device?

[Conditions]

VIN=8V to 42V

VOUT=5V (+/- 5%)

IOUT=0A to 1.5V

Fsw=420kHz

Synchronizes to External Clock function
