Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCD9081,
I powered up the EVM, but the EVM GUI SW does not recognize the EVM.

The adapter is default to 400kHz clock, but UCD9081 only supports 100kHz clock. You will need to open a Fusion Digital Power Designer software, and change the adapter clock to 100kHz, then open the UCD9081 GUI, and it should recognize the device.
Thans. See below feedback I got:
This looks like a very complicated GUI… I don’t see why I need to be the one to learn TI’s programming scheme to just change the bus speed from 400 kHz to 100 kHz. Please have TI provide me with more detailed instructions…

Sorry for the confusion.
UCD9081 requires the dedicated UCD9081 GUI. But since the USB adapter default setting is 400kHz, you need to first go to Fusion GUI to change adapter clock to 100kHz (one time set up), then go back to UCD9081 GUI to communicate with the EVM.
BTW, UCD9081EVM require external power. Also, you can disable Packet Error Checking and try different pullup resistor values for CLOCK and DATA. UCD9081EVM has built-in 10kohm pullup.
