Hi BJ Han,

1 wire communication is possible with bq27541. The device is initially shipped in I2C mode. Using an EV2300 and bqEVSW, you can convert the gauge to HDQ.

The bq27542-G1 has the same pinout as the bq27541 but the FW will be different. Here is a guide for converting the bq27542-G1 from I2C to HDQ:5822.bq27542g1_HDQ_SD.pdf.
