Li-ion MCU supply

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS62203

I'm looking for a suitable DCDC converter to supply an MCU(1.7V..3.6V) directly from a Li-ion battery(3V..4.2V).

The challenge is to make this with bare-die componentes.

When I look to the bare-die TI list, it's very limited. The device that I could see as an option, actually a bad option, is the TPS62203 BARE-DIE.

The TPS62203 works for Vin between 3.3V and 6V, this makes the battery charge between 3V and 3.3V to be wasted.

Does any one know a best alternative in bare-die?

  • Hi Rui,

I've moved your post to non-isolated DC/DC so that the support team for single DC/DC can help you. You may want to clarify if you are looking specifically for a buck-boost architecture (since you list Vout of 3.6V with Vin of 3V) or just a converter as well as the current you need.
  • Can you be more specific about your output voltage and current requirement?  Minimum Vin for TPS6220X converter is 2.5 V.  But for TPS622043 3.3V output, the input voltage must be greater than Vin as TPS62203 is a buck converter.  If you need 3.3 V output from 3 V to 4.2 V input, you will need a buck-boost converter.
