TPS65217: TPS65217C output failure

Hi,

One of our customer is now using TPS65217C. They have met a problem now that when the AC pin （from AC/DC adapter）voltage drop from 5V to under 3.2V, then re-connect a 5V input voltage to AC pin, the device has no output voltages both on LDO and DCDC. Only the INT_LDO and BYPASS pin voltage is normal, RESET（44PIN）voltage is 3.5V，Pin PB_IN is floating and the voltage is low level.

Could you kindly help to check this?

Hi Terry,

Is the customer using the BAT (battery) in this application? Can I get some scope captures of what you are describing above with voltage and timing of the event.

Dear Tuan,

Thanks a lot for your kindly help. The customer uses a 5V adapter to power the AC pin of tps65217. when the AC pin voltage drop to between 3.1V and 3.5V, the output disappears, when the voltage is back to 5V again,no output voltage can be detected at the output of tps65217.
