LM3410: Calculate the Output Capacitance (C2)

Hi Support,

Please help clarify the output capacitor calculation with TI for the LM3410. The equation in page 20 doesn’t result in 1.9uF. Please clarify this.

Hello,

It looks like there may be an error in the equation and that the "Vout" in the denominator should be "deltaVout".

You can also calculate using LED ripple current required (which makes more sense) by using:

Cout(min) = (Iled*Dmax)/(fsw*rd*deltaIled)

Or shouldn’t the Vout in the denominator be ΔVout_p-p?
