TPS7A8300: TPS7A8300

Part Number: TPS7A8300

Hi

While going the datasheet of TPS7A8300, I am not able to understand the figure 55 and 56.

And also not able to understand figure 3.What does mean by Vout(nom)% ?

Can anyone elaborate here?

We are using this IC to convert 1.8V to 1.6V but on page 6 we are saying VIN ≥ VOUT(TARGET) + 0.3 V. and on the same page Droop out voltage is mention as 200mV.

I am not able to understand what will be the difference should be Vin and Vout voltage.

Thanks

  • Hi Ashutosh,

Figure 55 demonstrates a load transient response for the example application described throughout section 8.2. The green line shows the load step and the yellow line shows the output response.

Figure 56 is a scope shot showing the output noise for the application described throughout section 8.2.

For Figure 3, the nominal output is the same as the target output of 0.8V.

The test conditions listed at the top of the Electrical Characteristics Table indicate the general conditions under which TPS7A8300 is tested. These are the test conditions that the device is tested under unless other test conditions are noted for a given parametric.

The maximum dropout for an output voltage of 1.6V is 200mV for a 2A load. As you are providing 200mV of headroom, your LDO should regulate.

    Very Respectfully,
    Ryan
