TPS61252: TPS61252 Current Limit Operation

Part Number: TPS61252

Hi,

I'm reviewing TI's TPS61252 for smart watch application, and have some questions about current limit operation as below.

1. Is this device's current limit function operate continuously? if yes, is there any explanation about the sequence at TPS61252 datasheet or any other TI's documents?

2. At TPS61252 datasheet page 9, end of the first line of Section 10.3.2, "off time" vocabulary means what?

- "Current limit detection occurs during the off time" means this device do not operate current limit continuously?

thanks,

TS

no sure if you familiar with the operating principle of a switching boost converter, in which the high side MOSFET and low side MOSFET turn on or off alternately. the inductor is only sensed during the high side MOSFET is on. the valley current of the inductor is limited during this period.
