BQ25890H: Using BQ25890H with USB device support

If I use a BQ25890H with the USB charger detection feature how do I also support connecting that USB port to my host processor? Figure 58 seems to recommend a USB switch but there's no information after that. Is the general idea to have a switch that is tied to the charger until the host takes it back?

ah maybe the dsel pin drives it?

Hey Eric,

You are correct. The DSEL pin what meant to be used as a multiplexer selection pin for a USB switch.

Take a look at the EVM for the bq25890 here. If you look the schematic, you can see our implementation of the bq25890 and the TS3USB221A
