BQ27742-G1: Battery Management Studio with bq27742-G1

I'm looking into using the bq27742-G1 but when I tried to load up a project for it in battery studio 1.3.54 it tells me that "the detected device is not compatible with this program" Should I be using something else to configure the bq27742?

bqStudio supports the bq27742. What's the exact error? Does it detect the EVM?

Ah I just tried to run the software to get a feel for it I don't have an EVM

I got the same error when my battery pack was not connected to the gas gauge (in my case the bq27510-g3) on my custom board and I was powering it with a voltage source. When I open bqstudio with the pack connected this message does not appear. Does this apply to you as well?

bqStudio tries to find a gauge attached to an EV2x00. If it doesn't find one, it'll show the list of supported products. If you manually select one (and it's not detected) then bqStudio will show this message. You can click OK because you won't corrupt any values in a device that's not attached.
