I'm using the TPS61201 with a AAA battery input to supply 3.3V to my circuit. The circuit draws 7 mA when used with a power supply, but it is drawing over 100 mA when the TPS61201 is supplying power. I tested the TPS61201 on a bare board with nothing else on it except the TPS61201 and its passive components, and it worked. I'm not sure what could be causing this problem with my circuit...can I email you the layout files and schematic?
