TPS62510: Low Vin operation (Vin=1.8V)

Part Number: TPS62510

Hello

Please adivse about TPS62510 for customer's New disign .

~~~~~
*Customer's spesificaiton
:Vin_min=1.5V~1.8V Vin_max=3.3V
:Vout=1.15V Iout_max=1.0A or 1.5A [
:Audio Application ( fPWM)
I think Vin min=1.5V  of this requiremtn is difficult , but I think TPS62510 seems suitable if Vin min> 1.8V.
However, TPS62510 has no Webench simulation support. and SwitcherPro also.
Also, I have no Pspice simulator.
I will buy EVM, but  Would you please advise?
These are question( iquiry) from customer in advance to choose TPS62510.
Q1)
In case Vin=1.8V, Io=1A ( Vout=1.15V ) can be kept?
If available, in case Vin=1.8V, would  you  please have us  characteristic curve like Fig 13 ? ( Fig 13 has Vin=1.9V, but no curve of Vin=1.8V)
Q2)
If available, would you please give us charactristic curve which is Vin versus Iout at Vo=1.2V if you have.
  • Hi,
    Yes, this device is suitable for 1.8Vin.
    Q1:
    It can support 1A for 1.15Vout. You can use equation 3 in DS.
    Figure 13 with Vin=1.9V is already very close to the customer condition.
    Almost no difference is expected.
    Q2:
    I'm not sure what you are looking for. The line and load reg is specified in DS page 5.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Michael
