BQ76PL536EVM-3: BQ76PL536EVM-3 Cell Connections for One Battery

Part Number: BQ76PL536EVM-3

Hi.

I’m attempting to use the bq76PL536EVM-3 as part of a battery management system.

I have a single battery, comprising 15 3.2V cells in series. From what I’ve read, each IC can support up to 6 cells, but I’d prefer to evenly distribute the cells, having 5 cells per IC. From what I’ve read and understood, the connections I will need to use are:

Figure 4 in SLUSA08A shows that unused inputs for each IC must be connected to the next input down, until I get to an input connected to a cell, hence why P1-2 and P1-1 are connected.

The problem is, most documents show 1 battery connected to each IC, but I am attempting to use all 3 ICs to monitor 1 battery. My question is, would my intended connection work with the EVM properly?

Regards.
