BQ34Z100-G1: Sudden jump during charing and drop during discharging

Part Number: BQ34Z100-G1

Hello everyone,

I am using a custom board designed for measuring batteries remaining capacity. The batteries are charged with solar power, which is not stable, and discharged overnight. The load is wireless modules, typically 10mA during sleep and 300mA during active. After several day's monitoring, I find there are some jumps and drops of remaining capacity.

BQ34Z100-G1 is calibrated and runs well with a constant power supply and constant load.

Here is a log file. I plot the data so that you can see it clearly. Thanks.

  • Hello,

Do you have a complete log file with current as well? We will also need you to export a gg.csv file and send us. What are load mode and load select settings? The increase in SOC seems to make sense, since it looks like the cell is charging. The drop we will need the complete log file to understand what's happening.
