UCD9090: Fusion Error

Part Number: UCD9090

 Hi Team,

I was using TI Fusion to clear logged faults in the UCD9090 and somehow got it in a bad state.  I tried using “Clear Configuration” in the tools menu to return the device to factory state and then reprogrammed it with a project file I read from another working device, but after power cycle it shows the error below.  If I use TI Fusion to do a “soft reset” the device recovers.  Any ideas on what I might be doing wrong?

Thanks,

Nabeel

  • The POWER_GOOD# status shown above means that at least one of the rails is not in PowerGood condition. You can check if any of your rails is not up, or its voltage is below PowerGoodOn threshold set in the configuration.
  • Hi,

We resolved this UCD issue. We did find that a rail was down. It was due to back-powered voltage being present on the rail. A UCD soft reset was removing the back-powering condition resulting in the rail coming up. We fixed the back-powering issue so everything is working properly now.

    Thanks!
