Dear all,


I am looking for stand alone ICS or chip for making lithium ion battery pack using LiFeP04 cell  with below mention protection.

1) Over charge voltage protection.

2) Over discharge volatge  protection.

3) Over charge discharge current protection.

4) Internal cell balancing.

5) Thremal protection.

6) short circuit protction.

4) no of cell connect in series 2 to 5 cells.


KIndly suggest stnad alone soluation ( i am not planing to use microcontroller with this).

    Hi Sachin,
    The bq4050 or bq40z50 would support 2-4 cells in a single IC as noted in your other post. For 5 cells the bq76920 monitor with a bq78350-R1 gauge or MCU and a high side driver such as bq76200 would be a soluiton. The bq76925 might be used as a monitor for the 5 cell solution if you want to implement more of the protection features in the MCU.

    I went through datasheet send by you..

    I am looking for dedicated ICs for protection of LiFePo4 cells. All suggested ICs are use with microcontroller or Gauge.

    SEIKO  japan provide such type of soluation ( SII 8254AA, 8205A).
