We are referring TPS23756EVM to achieve:

Topology : Forward

Input : 24V
Vout : 5V

Now we have to consider reducing the circuit size.

To support 24V input, we could refer the design of TPS23754EVM-420.

(TPS23754EVM-420 seems to be less parts around the input part than TPS23576EVM)

Could you check the following schematic?

The schematic is made with TPS23756EVM, except for the following blue boxes.

Hi na na,

If small solution size and minimum components is needed, why not consider TPS23751EVM? This is 5V/5A solution that support 24V adatpers. It is a self-driven flyback so you don't have extra bulky components like a gate drive transformer in the design above. In addition the TPS23751 is a smaller IC package than TPS23754/6.

As for the blue boxes, these components (except the jumpers), are important for implementing a poe design. The EMI filters help minimizes the noise (from the converter) that finds its way to the PoE input. In addition, the ORing diode and APD resistor divider is needed when implementing adapter priority ORing.
